Duckling Update!

The eggs have hatched! We now have seven lovely little ducklings in school quacking away. The children love having them in the classrooms and enjoy helping with feeding and caring for the ducklings. The ducklings will stay with us until next week. Afterwards they will be taken to their new home at Newton House Farm where they will have a lovely big pond to paddle in!

Please have a look at the Year 1 class pages for lots of photos of Nigel and friends!

Thank you to the Year 1 parents that have made a donation towards the cost of the duckling experience. If you still wish to donate, please do so through ParentPayhttps://www.parentpay.com/

New Midday Supervisors

We are excited to welcome two new midday supervisors! Mrs Ryalls and Mrs Kaushal. Together they bring a wealth of experience of working with children, including in an afterschool club setting. They have been with us now for a couple of weeks, have already built great relationships with our children, and have shown they are an asset to the midday team.

Class 8 Helpers

Parent Helpers are needed for Class 8! If you are able to volunteer for the Conkers trip on Tuesday 2nd July, please let Miss Bates know. It is vital we have enough adults on the day to ensure the trip is able to go ahead. We appreciate any help and support offered by parents! If you wish to make your payment for the trip please go to your ParentPay account, https://www.parentpay.com/

Red Visitor Lanyards

If anyone has accidentally taken home a red visitor lanyard, please can this be returned to the school office. We now only have one lanyard left in school. It is essential we are able to give them out to the correct visitors to ensure all staff recognise who is in school and for what reason. This is to maintain the safety of everyone within the building.

Year 2 Residential Visit to Beaumanor

Everyone should have received their letter for the residential. We appreciate that some parents/carers may be unsure about sending their child and so there will be an information evening that will take place in the school hall on Wednesday 5th June at 6pm.  This will give you lots of information about how we organise this visit and an opportunity to ask questions and set your mind at rest. Please return all consent forms to school where appropriate, this includes volunteers, child permission slip and medical form.

Year 2 Puppets

Parent helpers for Year 2. The children will be sewing in the afternoon of the week beginning the 20th May. If you are available to help in class, please speak to the class teacher before coming, to ensure they know to expect you. Thank you!
