Class 2

Welcome to Class 2

Here are some photographs of what class 2 looks like

We had a fantastic time drumming with Andy from the Power of Drums. We learnt about the djembe drums from Africa and how to play different rhythms and we followed a beat.

We have read stories and looked at information books to find out about Africa and the animals which live there. We have painted and drawn animals, had fun spotting animals in the safari den and looked at some African artefacts. Look at the safari trucks and the bus we have made to go on a trip on the Bobo road!

We have had lots of fun getting ready for Christmas. Class 2 have some great dance moves!

We have had a great time learning through our topic 'Space'. We have made some fantastic roaring junk box rockets, moon buggies and clay moons. We created pictures inspired by images taken from the Hubble Space Telescope, designed shape aliens and had fun cooking in the Space Cafe and lots lots more!.

We have really enjoyed celebrating Diwali and Bonfire Night this week. We have read stories, watched video clips, made cards, built a temple for Rama and Sita and did firework paintings!

Class 2 have been having lots of fun, they have especially enjoyed dressing up!

We made our own fantastic leaf men after reading 'Leaf Man' by Lois Ehlert.

We made some sculptures inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy.

We have had a busy few weeks settling into school with our new friends. We even took part in our first PE session with Sporty Sophie. Well done Class 2.
