Happy New Year! Class 8 have had a brilliant start the the new term. We had a problem solving day where we had to make the tallest tower from marshmellows and spagetti. We also had to work as a team to pass a hoop around a circle whilst holding hands. We even got to make a helmet for Humpty Dumpty which we tested out by dropping it onto the floor. Thankfully, we did so well that none of them broke. We also had lots of fun den making using sticks, pegs and cable ties. What a great first week back!

Welcome back and we hope you had a relaxing half term holiday after our fun packed trip to Tamworth Castle! We had fun dressing up, exploring the dungeons and climbing all the way to the top of the castle!

Class 8 have had a busy start to the new half term learning all about Bonfire Night. We have created beautiful firework pictures out of pastels and using cotton buds with paint. We also practised our spelling by using match sticks and pipe cleaners on black paper to make our words look like fireworks exploding in the sky.

26th September 2016

We have had a very royal week in Class 8 turning ourselves into Kings and Queens when we learnt about bossy verbs in English. We acted out the jobs we would give the servants, cooks and jesters in our class Castle. We even coffee stained paper to make into scrolls to write our bossy verbs on. It was very messy but we had lots of fun doing it. Our scrolls look great! In Maths we looked at 2D and 3D shapes. We made 3D shapes out of play-doh and dragons out of 2D shapes. What fun!
